Cardiology Fellowship Program
Thoracic and Cardiovascular Institute physicians are dedicated to training future cardiologists. Our physicians have played an active role in teaching cardiology fellows since 1975. TCI physicians were involved in the very first interventional cardiology fellowship program accredited by the American Osteopathic Association in the nation.
The current Cardiology Fellowship Program is under sponsorship of both the College of Osteopathic Medicine and the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. Thoracic and Cardiovascular Institute physicians Michael J. James, DO, FACC and Christopher M. D'Haem, DO, FACC serve as training directors—Dr. James covers the general cardiology fellowship program and Dr. D'Haem the interventional cardiology fellowship program.
The Fellowship is both non-invasive and interventional in scope.
Medical School Instruction at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine
The Thoracic and Cardiovascular Institute is actively involved in the instruction of the cardiology course work at the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University with TCI physician Dr. David Strobl serving as course director.
