David Rhine, M.D. specializes in cardiac electrophysiology and is practicing with Thoracic and Cardiovascular Institute. He is board certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine.
A graduate of Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University he completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Rhine completed his cardiovascular fellowship at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois and electrophysiology fellowship at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Rhine has published in several medical journals, including the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology. He has also presented abstracts at national meetings including both the Heart Rhythm Society and the Heart Failure Society of America.
His clinical areas of interest include: atrial fibrillation ablation, ventricular tachycardia ablation and device extraction. Dr. Rhine has a strong interest in research with an emphasis on atrial arrhythmias and complex ablations. He is presently looking at a possible novel preoperative approach to VT ablation.
